HCG Diet Journey Days 1-3

So my sister in-law Emily and I decided to try out the HCG diet and do it together so we could help motivate each other through it. I will report in every day (hopefully) and tell you about my days, what I ate, and how I'm getting through them. I'm not perfect and I probably will cheat a few times, I'm just being realistic...not setting myself up for failure. The diet is really strict and I hope I don't get bored with it.

So Emily and I decided to do the 40 day HCG diet. I did the first three days doing 10 drops 3x a day and I still feel hungry even with using my fruit as snacks between meals so starting today (day 4) I'm going to try 6 drops 5x a day and see if that helps. The first two days were easy (Phase I) and awesome since you're supposed to stuff yourself with high calorie high sugar foods. I lost one pound from day one to day two, but then gained two pounds on day two. Not a big deal, it's actually very normal to gain up to 5lbs the first two days of the diet since you're in the "loading" phase. We've heard/read that days 4-7 are the hardest so we'll see about that.

So I started Phase II of the diet (day 3) yesterday and it wasn't too bad. I love herbal tea anyway and since I caught a cold in the last few days and it's been freezing outside I've been loving being able to drink as much herbal tea as I want. I used my fruit as a snack to help keep me not as hungry between meals which I think helped even though I wasn't too hungry until after about 7pm when I had my last piece of fruit then my hubby started talking about pizza and made corn dogs that smelled delicious. Just to let you know, I HATE corndogs, I think they are very nasty but everyone else loves them so we buy them. I was very temped to take a huge bite of a corndog smothered in ketchup and spicy mustard. As I type this my mouth is watering at the thought lol. I drank a couple cups of chamomile tea and went to bed surprisingly not as hungry. So far so good.
