Another .6 lbs down this morning. Again not as much as I hoped but again I cheated last night. Jon and I went to a Cirque Du Soleil with his parents, sister (Emily), & her boyfriend so we both decided that it was ok to cheat that night. Neither of us pigged out or anything but I ate nachos and she had a hotdog and some popcorn. I wasn't hungry at all yesterday, I took my drops every 2.5 hours (6 drops 6x a day) and then would eat 30 mins. later if I needed to. Not much to report except that I've also been taking cough drops for this nasty cold that I have. Hopefully with all this water I've been drinking It'll go away soon!
Day 6 Meals:
Breakfast- 3 large cups of herbal tea
Snack- Orange
Lunch- Homemade chili with beef, tomatoes, onions, water, and seasonings.
Snack- Baked apple with cinnamon & dash of nutmeg
Dinner- Nachos

hCG Day 5
So today I woke up and only .4lbs down. Still awesome but I know why I didn't lose more and know that I could have. So the day passed by pretty easy, not much hunger and then my wonderful hubby decided to buy Pizza Hut. When I saw the delivery man at the door I was ready to scratch hubby's eyes out because I couldn't have any and I love pizza. Who doesn't? Then I found out that he bought lemon pepper chicken wings just for me. Not really on the diet menu, but not that far off either. At first I tried to be good and only eat a few, after all I was pretty full after eating just 3. So I set them aside and committed to not eating the rest of the evening. Well 3 hours later I could smell them from across the room and since I didn't want to give in and eat that I resorted to eating the rest of the chicken wings. Eating the wings turned out to be the smarter choice since I recently found out that one slice of stuffed crust peperoni pizza has over 300 calories compared to about 150 that the chicken wings had. Wow! Once again I found myself with an upset stomach and ready to run to the bathroom if my wings decided to come back up. I think I'm going to wait quite a while until I decided to splurge again, I sure don't like that feeling!
Day 5 Meals-
Breakfast: 2 large glasses of herbal tea
Snack: 1/2 grapefruit
Lunch: diced chicken slowly cooked in lemon juice, Mrs. Dash, and a dash of garlic salt & a handful of spinach. I used the leftover juices as a dressing.
Snack: Handful of frozen strawberries
Dinner: Chicken Wings :D

Day 4
So yesterday was Day 4, woke up this morning and 1.6lbs down. Waahoo! I tried the 6 drops 5x a day and it went very well, better than the day before in my opinion. I had my herbal tea in the morning, baked apple with cinnamon for my morning snack, a beef patty with diced tomatoes, onion powder, and Mrs. Dash for lunch, a juicy and delicious orange for my afternoon snack, and Emily and I shared a piece of my brother in-law's chocolate birthday cake for dinner. We each had a small piece and strangely we felt very full after eating it, and a little bit sick. We both felt like we wanted to vomit it back up shortly afterward and that feeling only got worse as time went on, for me at least. It really made me not want to eat anything that sweet again for a LONG time which I thought was awesome. Hopefully remembering that will keep me steady on this diet, though it's nice to know that you can indulge every once in a while in small increments and still lose weight. Though that sick feeling makes me not want to do it ever again. So far, this diet isn't too bad. Think I'm going to pick up some shrimp though to keep up the variety, getting kinda tired of eating just chicken and beef. Good luck to everyone out there that's also on the hCG diet, I hope you're seeing great results also and not indulging too much!

HCG Diet Journey Days 1-3
So my sister in-law Emily and I decided to try out the HCG diet and do it together so we could help motivate each other through it. I will report in every day (hopefully) and tell you about my days, what I ate, and how I'm getting through them. I'm not perfect and I probably will cheat a few times, I'm just being realistic...not setting myself up for failure. The diet is really strict and I hope I don't get bored with it.
So Emily and I decided to do the 40 day HCG diet. I did the first three days doing 10 drops 3x a day and I still feel hungry even with using my fruit as snacks between meals so starting today (day 4) I'm going to try 6 drops 5x a day and see if that helps. The first two days were easy (Phase I) and awesome since you're supposed to stuff yourself with high calorie high sugar foods. I lost one pound from day one to day two, but then gained two pounds on day two. Not a big deal, it's actually very normal to gain up to 5lbs the first two days of the diet since you're in the "loading" phase. We've heard/read that days 4-7 are the hardest so we'll see about that.
So I started Phase II of the diet (day 3) yesterday and it wasn't too bad. I love herbal tea anyway and since I caught a cold in the last few days and it's been freezing outside I've been loving being able to drink as much herbal tea as I want. I used my fruit as a snack to help keep me not as hungry between meals which I think helped even though I wasn't too hungry until after about 7pm when I had my last piece of fruit then my hubby started talking about pizza and made corn dogs that smelled delicious. Just to let you know, I HATE corndogs, I think they are very nasty but everyone else loves them so we buy them. I was very temped to take a huge bite of a corndog smothered in ketchup and spicy mustard. As I type this my mouth is watering at the thought lol. I drank a couple cups of chamomile tea and went to bed surprisingly not as hungry. So far so good.
